Redefining Sustainable Travel at Hilton

As Hilton’s reach and impact continues to grow, so does the awareness and responsibility that it needs to do so in a sustainable way. That’s why in 2018 it launched the “Travel with Purpose 2030 Goals” an ambitious set of targets to drive social and environmental change on a global scale. Through these targets the company has pledged to cut its environmental footprint in half and double social impact investment by 2030.

Since launching the 2030 Goals, Hilton has committed to reduce single-use plastics by banning all plastic straws, cocktail picks and stirrers globally. Its teams around the world have also invested 236,930 hours in social and environmental projects.

When booking meetings at Hilton, request to “Meet with Purpose”, a meeting concept designed to incorporate sustainable choices into events, by minimizing waste and incorporating health and wellness. Meet with Purpose has a lighter environmental footprint and Hilton hotels can provide a full carbon footprint report upon request, in advance of your bookings. When staying at Hilton hotels, guests are also able to review what that hotel is doing to support the local community and to reduce their environmental footprint – simply scroll through the hotel’s Wifi landing page.
