The BTA Accommodation Conference 2024
Clarity was delighted to be invited to play its part in The Business Travel Association’s Accommodation Conference in London yesterday.
The conference – hosted at the Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hospitality – included panels which chatted about Adapting to Shifting Trends, Challenges and Opportunities in the Accommodation Industry in the morning.
In the afternoon the focus shifted to Corporate Rate Increases for 2024 where Clarity’s Head of Land Product, Suzanne Barnes, was on hand to join the panel.
She said: “I welcomed taking part in the discussion about rate increases and how buyers can best manage their budgets. Above all, I love networking with like-minded colleagues within the TMC community discussing the hot topics in the industry.
“It was great to hear from the hotel partners about the challenges they are facing and what TMCs can do to support them.”
The final panel of the day focused on Sustainability and Emission Reduction in the Accommodation Industry, which featured our friends from Greengage.
Suzanne added: “It was an insightful day with our BTA pals down in London. We were talking all things accommodation with hot topics of the day including the impact Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) such as Booking.com and Expedia are having on the industry.
“We also talked about the challenges and opportunities the hotel industry are facing, the challenges and strategies of rate increases within the industry, and how we can support businesses sustainability goals.”
Following its first in-person conference of the year, the BTA said via LinkedIn: “And just like that, our Accommodation Conference is over! It’s been a fantastic day with our members and partners.
“We are very grateful to all of our speakers and panellists today and to Blue Orchid Hospitality for hosting us.”
