Lancashire Cricket announces partnerships with Titanic Distillers and Clarity

Lancashire Cricket is delighted to announce two new partnerships with Titanic Distillers and Clarity, signing five-year and one-year contracts respectively.

Titanic Distillers, who are Official Spirits Partner and Official Water Partner, goes on sale on St Patrick’s Day and is based at the historical Thompson Dry Dock and Pumphouse site in Belfast, the birthplace of Ship 401, RMS Titanic.

Titanic Distillers will hold the naming rights of the Titanic Distillers Terrace (previously the Thomas Cook Sports Terrace) for 2020. The brand will have a branded presence across the terrace, which will be a hospitality area for fans on a number of international and domestic match-days.

The partnership ties in with the agreement with Clarity, who has recently launched a new fan travel and experience business, sportsbreaks.com, a consumer-facing platform aimed at supporters, offering ticket and travel packages to sporting events around the globe.

As part of the initial one-year partnership, sportsbreaks.com will have a branded presence at Emirates Old Trafford, as well as rights to sell tickets on the Titanic Distillers Terrace, for a package across a number of international and domestic fixtures, including the England vs Australia IT20 and the England vs Pakistan Test.

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive at Lancashire Cricket, commented on the partnerships:

“We’re delighted to have both Titanic Distillers and Clarity on board.

“There has never been a better time to be involved with cricket, as the spotlight is well and truly on the sport following an exhilarating year in 2019 with the ICC Cricket World Cup and the Ashes.

“These announcements come at an exciting time for the Club, as we have just had plans for the next phase of redevelopment at Emirates Old Trafford approved. We’re looking forward to working with both Titanic Distillers and Clarity over the next few years.”

In addition, Titanic Distillers will supply the Club with spirits for its hospitality offering, which includes whiskey, vodka, gin and Irish cream; and will also provide a sustainable water offering, by supplying the venue with Polylactic Acid (PLA) bottles that are made from plants and are completely biodegradable and recyclable, aligning with the Club’s sustainability programme.

Richard Irwin, Director of Titanic Distillers, stated:

“We are extremely excited about rolling out the Titanic Distillers range with Lancashire Cricket. Our Whiskey is the spirit of the workers who built the great ship – A story of Blood, Sweat and Years. Lancashire Cricket is a Club based on similar values, having a strong history in the local community and growing international appeal.”

Rob Slawson, Director – Sports Travel at Clarity said,

“A number of us at Clarity have worked in partnership with the club in recent years on other projects and to be able to continue partnering now as Clarity and sportsbreaks.com is a huge privilege for us”.

“The Club has gone from strength to strength on and off the pitch and to play a small part in that journey is an honour. This summer sees more exciting international cricket as well as the hotly anticipated Roses T20 clash and we’re hoping to have the Titanic Distillers Terrace packed out all summer.”

Tickets for the Titanic Distillers Terrace packages are available now and can be purchased here.

Titanic Distillers and Clarity are the latest brands to join the Club’s family of partners, which includes premium brands such as Emirates, Hilton, UA92 and Heineken.
