It’s been announced that Clarity are the number one ranked supplier for transient travel on the new SUPC framework.

Through this appointment, Clarity, with a turnover of nearly £500 million, will become the UK’s largest TMC in the higher education space.

The SUPC conducts the tender process on behalf of its members, putting potential suppliers through a rigorous process to ensure their suitability and expertise for the sector. Clarity scored highly throughout the qualifying criteria, coming top on quality and pricing.

“This is a great result for Clarity and SUPC members,” commented CEO, Pat McDonagh. “We pride ourselves on quality and service, so to be recognised as a leader in these areas is really rewarding.”

The announcement comes just months after Clarity acquired Ian Allan Travel, a well-known name in academic travel.

“We have worked in Higher Education for some time now, as the sector compliments our core corporate strengths. With a centre of excellence in Stafford, the acquisition of Ian Allan Travel adds strong specialist teams in Shepperton and Bristol.  Now ranking first on the SUPC framework we have committed to growing this specialist division of our business,”

McDonagh explained.

By ranking number one on the framework, SUPC members can award their business direct to Clarity, without having to go through a potentially time consuming mini-competition process.

“We already worked closely with a number of academic institutions and the challenge of time and resource comes up frequently,” explains Paul Casement, Director of Sales and Account Management. “Being able to offer Universities an easy route to choosing the right travel management company for them is a great feeling, knowing we can build long, lasting partnerships in a sector where we already have a strong reputation.”

Clarity also secured a place on the student group travel lot and will be supporting SUPC members in their booking and facilitating of student travel.
